Children with Additional Disabilities

For many children, visual impairment is just one more challenge they face. Many blind/visually impaired children have additional disabilities, with conditions that cause significant developmental delay. Parents of these children are most concerned with getting their children's health stabilized, then concentrating on developmental progress and long-term care issues.

We are dedicated to providing quality, cutting edge information for parents of children with additional disabilities. The information in this section will be helpful for blind/visually impaired infants, those with or without additional disabilities, and any child with developmental delay. The approach of Active Learning, as opposed to "teaching and training," is a especially useful and exciting.
